Why people type 888stars
The English word “stars” is spelt with an s, so it is natural that many people type “888stars” or “888 stars”, or “stars 888”. But the official brand is spelt 888starz with a z - a deliberate choice to make the name distinctive. Search engines usually understand what you mean, but the misspelling opens a door for sites that bet on exactly that mistake.
Sites and apps named 888stars
Because so many people misspell the name, sites and apps appear carrying “888stars” or close names. Some are just guide sites, but some are copycats that imitate the platform’s look to harvest login details or ask for a “deposit” via transfer to a person’s number. Looking like 888starz is not enough - what matters is who runs it. With apps the risk is greater: a copied APK may carry malware, and the safe route is on the official download page.
Signs of the real site
Four signs settle it: the operator name Bittech B.V. in the footer and the rules page; the licence number OGL/2024/665/0201 from the Curaçao Gaming Control Board; a cashier inside the account with Egyptian wallets (Vodafone Cash, Etisalat Cash, Mobile Wallets Egypt) - no manual transfers; and support by live chat and e-mail on the 888starz.bet domain, with no phone numbers. The table below compares real and copy.
